 A Harford County family tradition since 1928.  Located in Harford County, Maryland, Lohr's Orchard is a family owned and operated farm. Come visit us and enjoy family fun, fresh produce, and fresh pressed cider (when in season)!

The History of Lohr's

​

Lohr's Orchard was founded in 1928 by Andrew and Harry Lohr in Joppa, Maryland.  Andrew Lohr, Jr. and wife Zandra, started pressing their own fresh apple cider in 1964.  Starting with hand cranked pressing to mechanicalling run production Lohr's has continued to press delicious cider for over 50 years.

 

In 1974 Andrew and Zandra moved to their present location in Churchville, Maryland. Today their daughter Candace and husband Darryl operate the fruit and vegetable farm.  You will often see their three young children running around and helping in the fields as their love of farming is passed down through the generations.

 

During the fruit and vegetable season, Lohr's has both a "pick-your-own" and a retail farm stand operation. Our retail store is open daily July through January.  Our farm stand is open daily during our October fall events.  Interest in any products during 'off season', please visit our farm stand and call the number posted for assistance.
